Our Hiring Process

Stage 1

Introductory Call

A short conversation with our Talent team. We will cover your background, what you are looking for, and give you a real picture of the role and company. This goes both ways — we want you to leave knowing whether Hiver is worth your time.
Stage 2

Engineering Architecture, Judgement & Leadership

A deep technical conversation on system design, architectural tradeoffs, and how you have shaped engineering teams and decisions. We are not looking for textbook answers. We want to see how you think when the problem is ambiguous and the stakes are real.
Stage 3

Systems Thinking, AI Depth & Vision

A hands-on conversation about modern AI systems — how you have built them, how you evaluate them, and how you think about AI changing the way software gets built. We will push on specifics. We want to understand your point of view, not just your experience.
Stage 4

Assignment

You will be given a focused problem to solve — involving AI system design or evaluation. We are looking at how you approach the problem, the decisions you make, and how you communicate your thinking through code and documentation. Time required: 72 hours.
This stage is administered based on the panel's assessment after Stage 3.
Stage 5

Hiring Manager Round

A conversation with the Hiring Manager on technical vision, where the company is going, and what this role means for Hiver's next chapter. This is also your opportunity to assess whether this is a place where you can do the best work of your career.
Stage 6

HR Discussion

A conversation focused on culture, working style, career aspirations, and compensation. We want to make sure the fit is right on both sides before we move to an offer.
